navigate a healthcare system that often didn’t fit real life.

We didn’t create HealthWise from theory.

We created it from experience.

We knew there had to be a better way.

For years, we experienced the same problems many people face today.

Our co-founder, JC Smith, built and sold a successful multi-million-dollar business...only to discover how difficult and expensive healthcare became without employer benefits tied to the company.

Our co-founder, Nora D. Richardson, runs a small business and has spent nearly three decades relying on her husband’s employer healthcare plan because finding practical, affordable access independently felt overwhelming.

Our co-founder. Chadwick Harris. has experienced both W2 employment and 1099 work life firsthand and saw the gaps that existed between traditional healthcare systems and modern work realities.

The more we experienced these gaps personally, the more obvious it became:

Healthcare needed to work differently.

In addition to offering preventive healthcare for W2 employees,

we wanted to offer healthcare to people who traditional systems often weren’t built to support:
